REPLAY PROBLEMS FROM INNKEEPER

You may not be able to run REPLAY from INNKEEPER on a Windows computer due to the way that Windows handles memory.

You should have a REPLAY 31 and a REPLAY 366 shortcut on your desktop.

Click on shortcut to complete.

HOW DO I SET UP MY SYSTEM FOR 366 INPLAY

The most important setps in establishing a 366 replay capability for INNKEEPER are:

-

creating C:\INNPLAY\DATA on all applicable C drives

-

ensuring that the REPLAY.BAT has the proper pathing

You can create the C:\INNPLAY using WINDOWS. Just ensure that you create both an INNPLAY folder as well as DATA under the INN folder using the DOS Windows, just type the following on the Root of "C: drive":

MD \INNPLAY
MC \INNPLAY\DATA

REPLAY 31 AND REPLAY 366

I AM HAVING PROBLEMS WITH MY REPLAY. WHAT CAN I DO?

Both of these replay functions require substantial memory to operate and therefore will not necessarily function on all workstations, and probably will not function on windows workstations. If you are getting errors just trying to start up, refer to PATHING problems below.

If you have a networked dos workstation, the availability memory must be over 570k to work. Depending on the functions loaded on each pc, and the networking capabilities installed, there may not be sufficient memory to run the "REPLAY" options. You can, however, run them by exiting the "live" innkeeper and using the INNPLAY functions.

If you need to build the INNPLAY functions please refer to the instructions included for specific setup.

On windows stations it will be unlikely that you can run replay 31 or 366 while in the innkeeper system. You can have a replay icon on your desktop, and even on your taskbar as a quick launch.

TO BUILD REPLAY ICONS

The following scripts will enable the creation of desktop icons. For 366 REPLAY the script for the program line is:

X:\INN\REPLAY.EXE Y:\REPLAY\366DAY C:\INNPLAY

Where X is the drive where innkeeper is located and Y is the drive where REPLAY is located.

You can view SAVINN.INI to determine this path information.

You will need to ensure that you have INNPLAY\DATA on associated c drives of all PC's.

For the 31 day replay you need the following:

X:\OLDINN.EXE Y:REPLAY\31DAY

And for clerk replay you need:

X:\INN\LOOKCLK.EXE Y:\REPLAY\31DAY

ON DOS STATIONS

The above scripts can be built into catch files that can be operated from dos menus.

To modify the inn menu just edit "MENU.INN".

On W98 stations you should ensure that the ICON/PIF is set to close on exit to operate properly.

PATHING PROBLEMS

If you are getting errors trying to run the function, then you are probably not set up properly. Refer to the included instructions as well as the related FAQ's.
